Eva Gibeault, welcome to the team at REX! We’re so excited to have a superstar like Eva come on board, so we thought we would brag a little and help people get to know our newest Account Manager.
So who is Eva? Tell us a little bit about you, your education and experience.
I come from Paris, France! I studied History at La Sorbonne Paris and then studied Communication and Marketing at the Superior Institute of Communication.
I have worked in Paris (France) and in Sydney (Australia) as an Account Manager in advertising, for renowned creative agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather Paris, Ogilvy & Mather Sydney and BMF Sydney. I was honoured to work with well established brands and clients like Lion Nathan, Nestle, Ferrero, Coca Cola and Dove amongst others. I led and supervised their advertising campaigns as well as their strategic and creative positioning. I have worked across all mediums, traditional (TV, print, cinema, outdoor) and digital (social media, online advertising) – and I’m constantly learning more!
What do you love most about your career?
I love building strong relationships with all of my clients. I treat their businesses as if they were my own so I’ve gotten to know a lot of clients on a deeper level. I also get a thrill when I look back on a project and am able to see its success.
Brand marketing is a passion for me because I enjoy creating new assets that will impact a brand and create long-lasting value. Honestly, it gives me a rush and I chase that great feeling!
What attracted you to REX?
The people! Allison and Amanda made a very strong positive impression on me!
I also wanted to switch from pure advertising and do some marketing to understand what comes before advertising. I have always worked with huge agencies and huge clients… I wanted to experience working in a more close-knit agency, and see what challenges come with working on small to medium sized businesses.
What is your WHY?
Every brand that was ever created is the fruit of someone’s amazing idea on how to change and improve the world we live in, a vision, a statement, a manifesto! And this is why every brand’s message should be communicated to the world, to make this message, this “why” exists beyond the products and services themselves.
What do you like about marketing, communications, and design?
I like that even though the end goal is business and dollars, marketing can achieve amazing things and change the way the world works in so many different scales!
Behind each and every one of us is a hidden truth, or an underlying purpose, and I believe it is the same for brands. I call it the brand’s raison d’être. Marketing is the best way to convey those messages – through fun or beautiful or aspirational pieces of strategy that ultimately become art.
What do you want to tell our clients about you?
With me, what you see is what you get. I don’t lie, I don’t hide. I am forthright, and I like people to be direct with me. After all, I am French! I believe that the best relationships are built upon honesty. So this is why I ask questions, I flag any issues I may have, I follow up, and I make sure everyone’s ideas are listened to and considered to the fullest.
